FAQ - please read!
It would seem this blog now has enough followers (HOW, WHY, FROM WHERE, WHAT IS THIS), and gets enough questions, to warrant some FAQs. Feel free to ask anything else you might be wondering about (by dropping me an ask), and I’ll answer you here when I get a moment.
How often do you post?
Usually once a day. Sometimes more, occasionally I’ll miss a day if I’m away or busy.
Will you do [insert album cover here]?
Feel free to request it by clicking here! (Although please check the archive first to make sure it hasn’t already been done.) I can’t promise I’ll do every request I get, but there is a good chance I’ll give it a go. That said…
Will you do Sergeant Pepper?
No.
Do you get a lot of requests?
Yes - as I write this there are about 200 messages in my inbox. I can’t guarantee I’ll do every request I get, but do keep sending them.
Why wasn’t my request done?
a) You requested something already in the archive. b) The album was sufficiently obscure that I couldn’t find a picture of it. c) Clipart didn’t have anything that remotely resembled the cover and hence it wasn’t funny. d) You requested Sergeant Bastard Pepper.
Can I submit my own Clipart Cover?Right now I’m only posting my own Clipart Covers, but of course I don’t own the rights to the idea, nor to Comic Sans or Clipart, so feel free to make your own and post it to your own blog. (All I ask is that you make it clear it’s yours and not one I made.)
Yes! Submissions are now open. Please read the submission guidelines before you submit.
Why wasn’t my submission posted?
a) You submitted something already in the archive. b) Your submission didn’t look anything like the original cover. c) Your submission broke the rules, for example by using a font other than Comic Sans. Please don’t be discouraged if your submission isn’t posted - just understand that I want to keep the standard of submissions at a good level.
[Insert album here] isn’t a classic!
It is to someone. (Without wanting to sound like a total penis, I’m not interested in getting into arguing over which albums count as classic and which don’t. If enough people request it and it’s relatively easy, I’ll give it a go.)
Do you make changes to the Clipart?
I sometimes crop images, rotate them, or take out backgrounds, and occasionally I will make them black and white if the cover is. Other than that, it’s untouched.
What is your view of Papyrus?
Fuckin’ hippy font.
